Careers
We are eleven people. Three have been here more than ten years, which in this trade is the only credential that matters.
Small enough that everyone knows what everyone else is doing, big enough that nobody works alone on a difficult day. Crews are two to four people with one lead, and the lead stays on the same house from demolition to punch rather than being pulled around.
We do not run three jobs off one crew. We do not ask people to work weekends to recover a schedule we set wrong. And we do not cover up work we are not happy with, which occasionally costs us a day and has never once cost us a client.
The shop on Griffin Drive is a real shop with real machines, and everyone gets time in it. If you have never cut a mortise, you will.
Open roles
Runs a house from demolition to punch: trade calendar, daily plan, client contact and the quality of everything that gets covered up. You will set beams, shore openings and read an engineer's drawing without needing it explained.
Trim, doors, stairs, built-ins and shop millwork. Half your time is on site and half is on Griffin Drive making the thing you are about to install. Scribing to an out-of-plumb wall should sound like an ordinary Tuesday.
Framing, blocking, insulation, dust control and everything that keeps a site moving. The route into lead work, and we promote from here first.
A real apprenticeship with a written progression plan, paid time in the shop, and a lead carpenter responsible for teaching you. We take one or two a year and we take it seriously.

What we offer
We schedule interior scopes through winter deliberately so nobody gets laid off in January.
An annual allowance for hand tools and work boots, plus all power tools and consumables supplied (sample benefit).
Lead-safe certification, OSHA 10 or 30, and any manufacturer training relevant to your work, on the clock.
Crews work 7 to 5 Monday to Thursday and 7 to 3 Friday. No weekends except by agreement, and we mean it.
Send an email with what you have worked on, who you have worked for and what you want to be doing in three years. A CV is fine, a list is fine, a paragraph is fine. Photographs of your own work are better than any of them.
Everyone who applies gets a reply. Anyone we want to meet gets a paid day on a site with a lead carpenter before either side commits to anything.
